My views on Sportsmanship

So today I passed Math 11. I'm done school now so I have way more time to focus on my badminton and my life.
I've been thinking a lot lately about sportsmanship in badminton and how it affects the community. Let's take a look at Lin Dan for a second here.
Lin Dan has won everything there is to be won in the badminton world. One of the reasons I love watching him is because he's an amazing player who makes tremendous shots and big plays. But you can say most of the same things about Lee Chong Wei or Peter Gade as well... So why do I enjoy Lin Dan more?
Because he is "Ferocious." He has tremendous character on court. You can tell when he's having a good time, and on the flip side you can tell when he is extremely mad...
People love this, and frankly it isn't hurting the sport. It is actually helping show that badminton players are not all nice and one-dimensional. There is no sport where the players are all extreme gentlemen/women, and if they were it would not be entertaining at all. If all badminton players did was play each point and serve and act like robots, the only people watching would be the die-hards. And that's not to say that is a bad thing. But we need badminton on TV, and we need it to become popular. For example, I know hundreds of people in Canada that watch hockey just to see the fights and big celebrations...
I don't condone being a bad sport at all. I don't like it when people are jerks on court. But there is a line between being a bad sport and just being yourself.
We need to keep this sport entertaining so it can add more money to the badminton community. The more fans this sport has the better.
